You will be charged if you miss an appointment

We wish to inform all our patients that from 27th September 2021, Highland Medical Centre will implement a Mixed Billing Policy.

The main reason for this decision is there has been no increase in government funding for general practice services over the past few years, however, business costs continue to rise.

Delivering the highest quality care is very important to all of us and we want to ensure this will continue in the future. Changes to our billing policy will allow us to be able to provide you new and improved access to our services.

Coronavirus – COVID-19

We are now seeing patients face to face, but we are happy to continue doing telephone consults if you require it.

You will be screened at the front entrance and will be asked to sign into the WA Safe App. If you do not have the App, we can sign you in from our i-pads at reception. Currently, we can only permit 10 people in the waiting room at any one time, so you may be asked to wait outside on chairs made available for you. Any people accompanying you may be asked to wait outside during your consult to reduce the foot traffic into the centre.

You MUST advise us if you have travelled overseas or interstate within the last 14 days, have been in quarantine or had contact with anyone who has been in a quarantine facility or if you have ANY respiratory symptoms, such as a dry cough, fever, changes to your smell or taste, please advise reception as you may not be able to see the doctor face to face. The GP may ask that you stay in your car and call us when you arrive so the doctor can either come to your car, or they can provide you with face masks and escort you to a protected room inside the practice.

We are taking these measures for the safety of all. For more information, please phone 9409 5000.

Welcome to Highland Medical Centre

You can find us at Unit 4, 210 Wanneroo Road, Madeley WA 6065.

We aim to ensure all your health concerns are addressed. Our doctors all have specialties they are interested in. For more information, see their bio’s under “Our Doctors”.

We know that your time is as important as our time, however we acknowledge that emergencies can occur (this is an important part of our business) and if they do, we endeavor to keep you informed of any waiting times you may experience.

Highland Medical Centre has extended well equipped premises with a large car park to the rear of the practice.

Our Doctors, Nurses, staff and Allied Health Professionals have many years experience working in the health care industry and we pride ourselves in offering our patients a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. All the staff are here to ensure you receive the best possible care for all your family needs.

We are a teaching practice with GP Registrars from the WAGPET Training Program and regular Medical Students from the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine. We have Chiropractic, Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Dietetic and Psychology onsite and also offer a Australian Clinical Labs Pathology collection service located within the practice.

From Sunday the 6th June 2021, Highland Medical will be charging a $30 fee for all appointments on Sunday’s only. You will be required to pay the full consult fee and our system allows us to process your Medicare rebate on the day so that the full Medicare rebate is back in your account immediately.
